Duties & Responsibilities
The County Clerk
Serves as the official bookkeeper of county government and maintains financial records. Oversees Quorum Court proceedings, voter registration, absentee ballots, marriage licenses, and probate matters.
The Circuit Clerk
Maintains records for civil, domestic, criminal, and juvenile court divisions. As ex-officio recorder, the office manages deeds, mortgages, liens, and property instruments.
Office Impact
The combined office touches essential civic duties from elections to property documentation. While offices are combined under one official, legal responsibilities remain distinct.
The County Clerk ensures financial transparency while the Circuit Clerk upholds judicial and property integrity for Fulton County residents.
